air(?) tube under delivery board on 12x18 C&P NS

Picked up a 12x18 NS last week and am getting acquainted with all of its parts. There is what looks like an air tube with a valve under the delivery board. It goes under the board and then just stops on the other end at an elbow. Can anyone tell me what this was for?

Previous owner might have had a powder dispenser in place. Any signs of automatic feeder parts/attachments?

This is the first press i’ve had hands-on-experience with, so I’m definitely not an expert in being able to say what is present or missing. The feed tables are missing the wood and the metal shelf that is left can be raised and lowered by a ratcheting system and a chain. Not sure if that’s how all feed tables are below the wood or not though.

Ah. It was equipped with an auto feed/delivery set-up. I don’t recognize the remaining pieces to name the make though. Perhaps younger/experienced eyes could offer aid there.
It is a simple enough task to remove the pieces and then re-introduce the standard feed table and delivery tray. Just part of the fun working with this older equipment. Grease and ink are all part of the Black Art. :o)

This appears to be a Miller feeder for the C&P. It looks a bit different than some I have seen, but the mechanism looks identical to what I remember.

I’m sure you would be able to fit a feed table and delivery table to these for hand feeding.

Fantastic. Thanks for the information.
