Die cutting pressure sensitive label stock on V-50

Hi, I have a V-50 I use for die cutting. I now want to do some peel and stick labels on it and am having trouble “Kiss Cutting” consistently. My jacket isn’t that great, so that might be the problem, but we have worked pretty hard to make this work. Our results are almost good enough, but not quite. My question is, should the V-50 kiss cut well, or should I look for a platen press?

Is it a long or short run? Makeready under the die only if raising the entire area. spot makeready under jacket for long runs. Quick fix in spots that do not cut enough, a bit of scotch tape on die jacket, just enough to raise the ps stock up to the cutting rule.
the small miehle presses have small diameter cylinders and have more of a difference between around and across cylinder rules.
platen versus cylinder
short run on platen long run on cylinder if you have the patience and skill to makeready under the jacket
