Kelsey Excelsior 5x8 Model U ?

I was at an antique store searching for some old jars for my wedding and well i came upon a Kelsey Press. I have been searching for a small press for ages and well for $50 i found this one.

I think there is maybe only a few rusty bolts, almost no surface rust, and it seems pretty complete. And it came with a bunch of old books…

Im no expert on this at all but can someone look at the pics and if its missing anything please let me know.

Im also interested in knowing what i might need to use it. I know i need type, ink, some mineral spirits, a few rags, paper, and it looks like it needs rollers, came with one new extra one.

Looks like a decent little Kelsey. You should buy it!

You will need fresh rollers, but there are a couple of good sources. I would suggest Todd’s Press Time or Ramco for rollers this small.

A complete press (grippers, chase, inkdisk) in what looks like great condition for 50$? Bargain of a century - that one!

Oh believe me i bought it the second i seen it…. And thank you for the source for rollers…
