Craftsman 10 x 8, info please.

Just about to Dispatch/Ship, to Canada from the U.K. Small consignment of Letterpress items (Biscuit Tin size).
The question/query goes thus:- for all practical purposes, for horizontal and vertical setting, locking up, etc. what selection of which lengths would be logical to include, involving (lighter) 6 Point, Pica, 18 Point, 2 Em, either in wood and/or Plastic.** . ** Plastic from the last ditch stand, before the demise.??

Thanks, for all/any info re the above.

Seasons greetings to all on B.P.

Mick, I would say 15, 20, 25, 30 pica lengths. Give them 20 each 2 pt leads, 10 each 6 pt slugs, and 2 each furniture in widths of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 picas.

Not giving them any longer lengths than 30 picas will hopefully get them to realize that they should restrict the size of the form so as not to overload the press.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Happy New Year, Geoff

Geoffrey, Thank You very much, great starting point, several little unknown factors, (as yet) but a Biscuit Tin has to contain as much as, is practical… Thanks again. Mick
