Hand press in upcoming auction
The University of Texas at Arlington will hold a surplus auction at 10am Saturday June 23rd. One of the items to be auctioned is an Ostrander-Seymour Extra Heavy hand press. It is partially disassembled and strapped to a pallet. The photo I was sent does not include the toggle but all other parts are visible, and I have inquired about the toggle but so far have not received a reply. I suspect advance inspection of the auction items is possible.

I have a Ostrander-Seymour Extra Heavy hand press on my driveway in pieces. It was removed from a friend’s shop due to his being put in a nursing home. The family gave it to me for removing all of his other printing equipment. Anyway, I plan to resore it and move into my shop. Where could I find it’s original color scheme? Or does it matter?
