Re-creating letterpress baroque illustration?
Hey guys, new here. I’m restoring a Sigwalt Ideal #4. I’m sandblasting right now, but after it’s painted I want to recreate the main illustrations on the side.
They’re very typical to that antique, baroque styling. I was wondering if anyone knows how they were printed on the side, they don’t look painted to me. Maybe stenciled, but the lines are very fine. The yellow looks very gold to be too, like it could’ve been foil stamped on or something.
