Morgan Line-o-Scribe M711

Hello,

About ten years ago I came across a Morgan Line-o-Scribe M711 while cleaning out an old warehouse. Honestly didn’t really know what it was at the time but it looked interesting so I brought it home and put it in my storage closet. Recently dug it out while cleaning and decided to do some research and see if it was worth anything. Must say it’s been difficult to find out much about it even after reading around here so I was hoping some one here could take a look at the pics and give me an idea on the condition and possible value of it. There are also some metal and wood typeface.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Edit - had issues uploading photos. Hopefully I can post a link to them here:

A Google search found one that sold for $255.

I appreciate the reply. I found a few old sold listings including the one you did. One was for $900+ and another for $550. That’s why I was hoping the experts here could help - such a big discrepancy.

This is the smallest one they made and it also does not have an adjustable cylinder like many of its larger cousins.

These are pretty rare and probably the least desirable of the linoscribe family.

I can’t imagine buying one for $50 that said if you were extremely space constrained and it was your only option you might pay more.

I kinda suspect the fair price for these is 100-300 depending very much on condition.

There are just too many alternatives including some that are still manufactured to this press to justify more money.

That’s what I was afraid of after learning more about press machines in general from here. Doesn’t seem very versatile and is rather small. Maybe that’s why they’re so rare haha. I really appreciate your response and insight.

I bought one of these about 5 years ago, with the type stand and all of the type for $300.00. They are great for onsite demonstrations.

@mikeyburton For some reason emails from here keep filtering to spam/junk no matter what I do so I missed it at first. I emailed you back a few days ago though.
