Showcard Press Accessories and Longmaster Parts

I recently acquired a Showcard Longmaster press and would like to get it up and running. It is missing the ink roller carriage and the gripper assembly. I am hoping someone either has some extra parts for sale or has a complete press and could send me some detailed photos so that I can fabricate something.

I also would like to purchase some of the letter setting bars and clamps that keep the type in place. Again, if someone has detailed photos, that would also help. Thank you!

The Showcard brochure has an image of this press on page 12. It’s the only one I remember seeing of the Long-Masater.

I’ve never seen parts show up but that doesn’t mean they won’t. It’d require someone parting out a dead press which, unfortunately, would probably mean your parts would be gone, too. I seem to remember someone making a new ink roller carriage which is where I would go. For the gripper assembly I can say I don’t use mine much except to hold my tympan and packing. I typically don’t try to get a DEEP impression and don’t see any slurring.

I HAVE seen the setting bars / spring clamps pop up here and there so keep your eye out. It’s usually in a pile of stuff that someone is trying to find a home for.

Thanks for the info. I do think that making a new ink roller assembly would be possible, I would just like to see one so I can make it as accurate as possible. For the grippers, do you happen to know if they are the same as the smaller Model B, other than the foot actuation? I know that the roller carriage is interchangeable.
