Showcard Press - Roller Diameter

Showcard Press with horizontal ink disk -

My “Showcard” proof press (~ 14” x 24”) has a horizontal ink disk, which is at the same height as the rails. It has an inking carriage with 2 rollers, but only the cores, there is no rubber. The cores are captured in slots, they are free to move up or down ~ 3/8”.

I want to get new rubber, but don’t know what diameter the rollers should be. Does anyone know this, or know where to find, or have a similar press with rollers that could be measured?

Thank you, Phil

The rollers on my Morgan Line-O-Scribe are 2inch diameter. If you disassemble the roller carriage you might see marks left by the old rollers. That’s how I found the diameter of my missing rollers. I can send you a PDF drawing of the Morgan roller carriage if you want.

Thank you for the info!!
I would like to see the roller carriage diagram if that is easy enough to do.

Thanks again, Phil

Phil,
Check your email for my contact info and I will send a 4-page PDF.

I have a similar press but is missing the inking carriage altogether. I would love a PDF drawing if possible and if anyone could send some photos, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
