Restoring a C&P 10x15 Old Style. Parts and advices needed

Hi everyone!

I am working on restoring a 10x15 Chandler & Price Old Style platen press that has unfortunately remained disassembled for far too long. Some essential parts are missing, and I was wondering if anyone could sell me some replacement pieces for that model.

Specifically, I am looking for the throw-off bracket, the outer arm to throw-off, the lower throw-off connection, and the corresponding hardware needed to assemble them.

Anyone? I’m in Montréal.

Also, and perhaps, more importantly, the press comes with 3 chases that are the right size and labeled as Chandler & Price. I cannot get any of them in place. Is there anyone who have encounter the same problem? Anything can be done or that’s a dealbreaker?

**Picture linked to this post is just a generic 10x15, not of the press i’m working on. I will get to it during the week and will take pictures of it.

Hi!

If nobody here has the parts, and/or you want to avoid any cross-border shipping, you might inquire at Howard Iron Works in Ontario, or Cook Kettle Press in BC.

Regarding the chase fit, some photos would probably go a long way to helping folks diagnose the problem.
