User manual for the C+P Pilot 6x10 tabletop?

I downloaded the Kelsey Printers Guide from Boxcar Press. And am wondering if Chandler & Price has something similar.

Unfortunately, no. Kelsey made a guide because their presses were made for little boys (& young men) printing in their garages and basements. For other presses, it’s assumed that you learned to print from an established printer. Or grabbed one of these books, all available at NA Graphics (www.nagraph.com): General Printing, by Cleeton, Pitken, and Cornwell; and Platen Press Operation, by George J. Mills. The latter is geared more toward floor-model presses, but has a lot of useful information in the first few chapters! I print on a Pilot as well, and those three books have helped me many a time.

That said, try to find a printer in your area to shadow, ask questions of, and troubleshoot with. Most, if not all, of the “old-time” printers I know are more than happy to be my sounding board/cheerleader. You’ll learn a lot, and probably make a new friend in the process.

Good luck!

There is a very basic manual at: http://www.boxcarpress.com/flywheel/

and I have a scan of an original brochure in this Flickr set:
