Thompson Cabinet Factory, Ink Cabinet

I managed to get up to the Thompson factory in Luddington this afternoon, and brought back with me a box of Catalog no.75. If anyone would like one, send me a message and I’ll send you one for the cost of postage.

The factory doesn’t have much left in it. I was able to get a few of the patterns for cases and furniture cabinets, and the remaining case pulls and cellulose covers for them.

I’d also like to ask if anyone has seen one of these Thompson Ink cabinets. I am looking for one or two for my shop should anyone have one or come across one. Doesn’t have to be this exact model.

Teikaut, Wow, how could any letterpress printer pass up on an offer as generous as yours. I would absolutely enjoy to have a copy. My name and address: Bud Niederreiter, 15996 Avenue 296, Visalia, CA 93292. I too could Pay Pal the funds, or send money via snail mail, your choice. Thank you for your generosity. Bud.

Thanks for making the trip over there. Did you get to take any photos? Were there still any of the Thompson cabinet labels around?

Here are some more of Fritz’ images from when things were still happening at Thompson that show the making of C&P feed boards and furniture cabinets.
