I have a Vandercook 17, and looking to print some posters just for fun.
Anyone kind souls local to me have wood type that they would let me borrow for a couple weeks or so to do some printing with?
Hoping to find something around 10 lines or so high. I’ve bought some sets along the way, but I only use it intermittently so buying enough for a project seems a bit much.
Would be better to have a ‘type collective’ of sorts.
Anyway just a thought.
I have done photopolymer, and used laser cut wooden letters on plywood hat I shimmed up, and I can always use what I have. Have made some fun linocut stuff as well, been toying with laser cutting some letters of my own. But, would be more fun to set some type and make some posters using real wooden type as well.
So, anyone local in New England, let me know if I can borrow your type later this spring when my garage warms up enough to print. Will handle carefully and return clean!

Wooden type - sharing?
Hi all,
I’m in Boston. Wood type is hard to come by!
