Installing a Hern Treadle

Ok, this is going to sound crazy but, here goes…is the “front” of a Chandler & Price 8x12 where the feed tables are located, and the “back” the ink disc? I was told to put the hook facing the front and want to make sure I understand. Attached is a diagram picture that I labeled showing the press with the words FRONT and BACK with the hook facing the front. Is this orientation correct?

That is correct. The front of the press is where you stand.
