Ink Disc Replacement - How tough is it?

I was considering buying a tabletop press (I believe it’s a Sigwalt Ideal and a 3”x5” printing surface).

I was curious what sort of cost I’d be looking at to replace the ink disc? It appears to be missing - any help is appreciated, thank you!

I would guess that you will have to make a replacement, since the company is long gone and since the ink disc and chase are the most frequently lost parts it will be very hard to find an authentic replacement. My suggestion is to contact a machinist and ask about the cost of making an ink disc. I can tell you how I would do it if I had the problem. However, for the size of the press it may not be worth the cost and effort — I’d advise you to look for a larger press in good condition.
