Impression on Chandler and Price Press

Hi, im acquiring a chandler and price press very soon and was wondering what is the deepest impression one would be able to get out of a c&p ( 8x12 or 10x15). If you guys could kindly post some pictures of some examples you have gotten from your press that would be amazing. Thanks in advance everyone!

“Deep impression” is as much dependent on what kind of paper you are impressing, and how well you understand platen adjustment, packing and makeready. Cast iron is brittle - improperly done, you can destroy your press.

About 1/2 the thickness of the paper you put in the press, assuming the number of square inches of type (cuts, etc) is no more than half the chase if not too dense an image. If there are significant solid areas then much less than half of the chase.
