Label Stock

Hi!

Can any one offer me some advice on a label stock that takes a deep impression?

I’ve heard from multiple people that Crane makes Lettra with a self-adhesive backing but I can’t find it anywhere!

I’m making labels for resale and also need the backing on the stock to be blank. (One quality I found had the paper manufacturer printed boldly on the backer paper…. Can’t have that).

Thanks much in advance!

if anyone knows of Lettra with self-adhesive backing please let me know!

Keldon Paper offers a Crane paper with self-adhesive backing that I’ve used and liked. Very comparable to Lettra.

Any label stock will take a deep impression if you hit it hard enough. ;-) I’ve used Strathmore label stock and had good results.

I’m creating these labels for resale and am concerned about the manufacturer printed on the backer paper. Does anyone have any ideas about a stock that has blank backer paper?

Or does anyone out there know how I could have a label stock created for me?

Thanks a million!

Most manufacturers print the back of crack and peel so the printer can tell which side of the label should be printed upon.
I don’t think you should be worried about your client knowing which brand of paper you are using. As expensive as label paper is I would consider it a badge of honor.

Talk directly with a manufacturer like say 3M ask if they outsource blank stock ,some producers are making the same stuff for everyone, the back labelling is done to order but that is often the only difference or the peel backing will be applied in a tint to order , ask your paper supplier who does it ,we get plain back in the uk and we peel a bit back to see what side we print on !!
It comes SRA2 boxed sealed polythene inners and the wrapping tells you its costing I dont have a price to hand but one box of 250 sra2 is around the £50 -80 mark I have a lot of dealings with this stock pre printed ,and you get very few extra copies to work with !

Try LV Adhesive in Rutherford, NJ.
They can put adhesive back on any stock you want. They can do it to blank or pre-printed stock.
For those of you looking for the ability to mount (glue together) multiple sheets of stock, same sheet or color on color, they can do that as well. Since it is a commercial shop there will be minimums.

Has anyone ordered any of Neenah’s wine label papers? Do they come in sheets or only rolls for flexo? You can’t order it on their site, other than samples, and the sample sheets don’t come adhesive-backed.
