Can you identify this sans serif, bold and outlined typeface?

Looks a lot like Comstock — it wasn’t at all uncommon for case labels to simply be a sample of the type set in some other word not the type name.

Comstock! I forgot about that one. Thanks, Bob. In the same case I’ve got a ‘Lester E. Calder’ that looks suspiciously like a Times Roman italic…
