Vandercook Motorized Roller Contact
When I was cleaning my SP20 the other day with the motor running the press grabbed my rag & it wrapped around the motorized roller. Now, the rollers are not making solid contact. When I run the press the motorized roller only has ink on a 2 inch section (press side). It’s not effecting my printing at all but would still like to fix it if I could. Anyone have any ideas how to adjust the motorized roller so its making better contact. Thanks.
My SP-20 is long-gone, but as I recall it: there are springs at each end of the drum so the drum can return to working height after it is deflected down when the impression cylinder passes over. If a spring breaks or is dislodged that end would be low.
