That might not sound right to most people, but it does not surprise me at all because the bottom has fallen out of the market for scrap metals right now. It was absolutely booming last year, but is in the toilet right now. A lot of dealers that bought scrap metal on speculation are actually going out of business right now because it has dropped to less than half of its value last year.
i would love to have it, but i have no way to get it from PA cheaply
What model cutter is it, and how big is it? I might be able to take it off of your hands.
Is it hydraulic?
Why not put it on eBay with a starting bid of $1? I did that with a damaged Heidelberg and it went for more than scrap value and wound up finding a home where it would be repaired and used.
