Identify Press
Hi - Was hoping someone could identify this press. Bought it quite a few years ago and all I can remember is I was told it may have come out of a Philadelphia newspaper. The raised printing is hard to make out, but I think it says: “C ? Mena ???, Philadelphia”. I am including some photos - have others if you would like me to either post or email additional ones.

Check your photo filenames — you have to eliminate special characters and spaces to make the filename acceptable. All alphanumerics without spaces are fine.

… “special characters” being things like “?” or “&”… .
Judging by the name and location, I suspect that the name might be R. S.Menamin of Philadelphia. He was co-publisher of Ringwalt’s Encyclopaedia of Printing and was owner of a printers’ warehouse in Philadelphia.

another thing when uploading photos to Briar seems to be the file size, when I used old cameras it was ok but with a new 10 megapixel camera I had to reduce the image using a photo editing program to a quarter the size and it uploaded fine whereas it would not in its original size, hope this helps,

Steve Saxe, I am a descendant of the Robert S. Menamin you mention. My grandfather’s name was also Robert S. Menamin. Any more info you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
