Mystery Press

Anyone have any information on a Dalton Engineering Printing Press? There’s one on Ebay at the moment, a table top in need of restoration. No ink disc and looks like no fitment to hold the disc in place? No rollers etc. I’d love to have a go at restoring the press but don’t want it to end up sitting in a corner because no parts are available. Does anyone think it would be possible to source the parts needed to restore this press?
I’m going to try to post a link to the ebay listing. Hope it works!

Oops. That didn’t work. Try again.

And again……

It looks to me like a Golding Official, though could have been a copy of one, made in UK. You could certainly print with it, hand inking with a brayer. Sourcing replacement parts may be pretty difficult. It looks like it could be either a 6x9 or 8x12.

Last time one of these appeared on ebay 2012.

St Brides may have info somewhere.

Provided they have the measurements Elli Evans could produce rollers. Your problem is the ink disk.

As suggested, hand ink your type.

Thanks for your comments. I did realise that I could hand ink and that new rollers could probably be made. It was the obscurity of the press that was worrying me with regard to repairs and/or missing parts. The photo helps, thanks.
