Looking for a lower gear for a split ink disc on a 10x15 C&P Press

Hi All, I’m looking to beg, borrow, or buy a lower gear for a split ink disc on a 10x15 C&P Press. Its the last piece to make my 1889 C&P complete. (replaced the new style treadle with the old style version this summer)

If you have the part, or a parts press that has one, Great!
If you have one but don’t want to part with it, let me borrow it to make a mold, and I’ll have a few cast.

I’m open to just about anything,

Terry

Here’s what they look like, mine is missing, photo is for reference.

You may have other options here.
I found myself looking for the same gear for a 1904 C&P 8x12.
I found a 60’s new style being scraped and was able to get that gear off it. Perfect fit.
Good luck.

maybe a 3D printer? The meeting of such “Old Technology” and “The Latest Tech” might be kinda cool.

Dustin Penner got a a new gear made for his press about 6 months ago, I bet he’d share his experiences:

Not sure if this is the right fit for your press (the description doesn’t mention which model C&P it fits), but this popped up on ebay: https://ebay.to/35Uqcox

Chris

I have a complete but completely dis-assembled C&P 10x15 new style in one of my barns. In South Jersey. Let me know if interested. I also have a 10x15 C&P Craftsman assembled in another barn. [email protected]

Draagn, If you are still looking, I noticed a few days ago that there are ink disk gears on ebay. You have almost 2 days left to purchase it. Not at all associated with the seller, although I did consider buying it “just because”. Good luck!
